This video does a great job talking about the sun and the planets. It tells the students about the placement of the planets and what they are made up of and their key features. This video is up to date with science which is great. They did not include Pluto as a planet. I feel like with this video I can introduce space to the students and talk about Pluto and what makes it a planet a planet or not. There are endless projects that can be done when teaching about outer space. This was one of my favorite things to learn about in school. I would use this video to teach the planets to 2nd graders, but if I did want to do something more complex with Pluto, I would show it to the 3rd-6th graders and have a more complex lesson.

What's the function?
I am 21 years old and still sing this song in my head. Growing up, this video caught my attention. The song is very catchy. It helps you memorize what a conjunction is and what it does in a sentence. The animations are funny and engaging. Students will learn the conjunctions without realizing it. This song and video helped me when I had to take a test. I used to sing the song while taking my test and could see all my classmates doing the same. I can use this in a 3rd or 4th grade class. Re-watching this video now will have me singing this song for days.
3rd grade Math Lesson- Probability
Probability was one of the hardest lessons I had to learn in math growing up. A lot of the lessons were just the teacher talking and drilling. I never understood what she meant or even why probability was important. I always struggled with the vocabulary terms and would find myself giving up easily in each lesson. This video gives students more of a visual. Although I am not a visual learner, this video would have helped me out a little more than a text book. It uses colorful pictures and is repetitive. I think it does a good job of teaching probability and it defines the important vocabulary terms. The speaker is going slow and reviews what was learned at the end of the video.
